Our Lady of the Lake College (OLOLC), located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is accepting applications for the full-time, non-tenured position of Academic Coordinator in the Department of Physician Associate Studies.  The OLOLC PA Program is 28 months in length with a curriculum beginning in January of each year.  The first class of 20 students will graduate in May of 2008 and a second class of 30 students began their studies this year, Spring semester, 2007. 

 Academic Coordinator Job Responsibilities include the following:
• Provides professional and administrative support in all areas of the PA didactic curriculum
• Teaches in areas of expertise and interest
• Designs and revises course syllabi and teaching materials in conjunction with classroom instructors
• Evaluates students according to Program and course policies and procedures
• Mentors/advises and counsels students
• Serves as a professional role model for students
• Participates in recruitment activities and admissions decisions
• Assists in the development and preparation of program evaluation activities and reports
• Participates on/chairs Program and College committees

Minimum Requirements
• Baccalaureate degree; master’s degree preferred

General Orthopaedic Surgeon seeks a full-time Physician Assistant.  Previous orthopaedic surgical experience is preferred, but will train a new PA with a strong interest in Ortho!  The position is up to 25% in the OR and the balance in the clinic.  Recent graduates must have completed Orthopaedic rotations.
