Working rotating shifts, you will assess hospital patients in critical care and progressive care. Responsibilities include radiology interpretation; invasive procedure; MET team; Code team; and interventional pulmonology. Qualified candidates must have at least 5 years experience in one of the following areas: CT surgery; general surgery; CCM; emergency medicine; or cardiology/invasive cardiology.

Working a minimum of 3 days/week, you will manage the smoking cessation program for both in and out patients; both programs entail individual consultations as well as group sessions. This position requires a minimum of 2 years' experience.

Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center (DF/BWCC), a Harvard Medical School teaching affiliates, seeks Physician Assistants to join the DF/BWCC Pain & Palliative Care Team (PPCT). We are opening an Intensive Palliative Care Unit (IPCU) at the Brigham & Women's Hospital and will be able to offer PA's an exciting, direct care, medical management role as a member of the interdisciplinary team, and opportunities to learn from leading Palliative Medicine specialists and nationally known educators. 

The Intensive Palliative Care Unit (IPCU) Physician Assistant (PA), is responsible for assisting the inpatient Palliative Care Program attending physicians and fellows in the medical management and palliative care of IPCU patients and in the palliative care consult service; and in addition, will provide cross-coverage care for Hematology Oncology and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant patients and patients admitted for elective chemotherapy. The IPCU will provide specialized, expert care for patients with advanced cancers with complex palliative care needs. 

The PA is a member of the interdisciplinary team, and as such, works with clinicians from social work, nursing, chaplaincy, care coordination, and psychiatry. The PA is expected to develop basic knowledge of hematologic oncology and solid tumor oncology as disease processes and to develop expertise in palliative care modalities, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic techniques for relieving physical, psychological, social, and spiritual/existential distress and communication skills for working with patients with cancer and their families. The PA will also become familiar with general internal medicine and
medical complications commonly seen in our oncology patients with palliative care needs. Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are
required. Knowledge of current literature and a commitment to continued learning are also required.

We will be able to offer a PA an exciting, direct care, surgical/medical management role as a member of the interdisciplinary team and opportunities to learn from leading gynecologic specialists and internationally known experts. The Physician Assistant (PA), is responsible for assisting the attending physicians and fellows in the medical/surgical management of patients. The primary focus of the PA is direct care of both new and followup patients in the ambulatory setting of the DFCI. 

The PA is a member of the interdisciplinary team and will work collaboratively with staff at all levels in two institutions. The PA is expected to develop advanced knowledge of the gynecologic oncology disease processes. Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are required. Knowledge of current literature and a commitment to continued learning are also required.
