Well-established General Orthopaedic Surgeon seeks a full-time Physician Assistant.  This Doctor handles shoulder, knees and general ortho cases.  The position is a combination of surgical and clinic.  Responsibilities include: first assist, evaluation of ortho injuries, removing casts and pins, injections, reductions, consultation, rounding and patient evaluation and education, reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting.  Call is 1/3. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified/eligible. New graduates or soon-to-be graduates are welcomed to apply. 

Successful candidate must have completed an orthopaedic rotation.  Preferred candidate would have a strong desire to work in orthopaedics and be a bright and motivated new graduate!  The location is in the Northeastern TN area which is the tri-city area of the state.

Barry University is currently accepting applications for two faculty positions: one at the Miami Shores campus and the second at the St. Petersburg College campus. The Miami Shores campus is located in Miami-Dade County, and the St. Petersburg campus is located on the sunny Gulf coast of Florida in the Health Education Center at St. Petersburg College. The Barry University PA program began in 1997 and graduated its first class in 1999. The program awards a Masters degree, in a 28-month program with a training emphasis on primary care medicine in medically underserved communities. Barry University strives for excellence within the Catholic tradition and is widely recognized as an innovative leader in health education with a diverse student body. The program utilizes sophisticated synchronous videoconferencing to provide an equivalent academic experience on both campuses.

The successful candidate will hold NCCPA certification with a master’s or doctoral degree, or the M.D./D.O. degree. Prior clinical and/or teaching experience is required. Responsibilities include student advising, teaching, curriculum development and clinical site visits/development. This is a full-time, 12-month faculty position, with salary and academic rank commensurate with qualifications.
