Physician's assistant needed in the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Washington University School of Medicine, located at St. Louis Children's Hospital. 

This is a Washington University School of Medicine position.  Salary is competitive and benefits are outstanding.  This is a Monday-Friday position, with no call, weekend or holiday coverage.  This position will be given the authority to deliver specific healthcare services, treatments and procedures consistent with the scope of practice, skill, training, education and competence of both the P.A. and supervising physician.  Assist supervising physician in surgery, including position, prep, drape, transfer, suture, use of surgical instruments or other instruments as needed, and apply and remove dressings from wounds.  Other care will include performing history and physical examinations, writing orders for medications and therapies, making daily rounds, writing progress notes, and dictating discharge summaries and clinic notes.  Candidate may also perform diagnostic therapeutic procedures, evaluate and treat patients in the out-patient clinic setting, order laboratory, X-ray and other diagnostic studies to include CT, MRI, bone scan and EMG, order blood/blood replacement products and write orders for admission/discharge to the service. 

Candidate must be certified.  Minimum of one year of surgical experience, preferred.  Preference for candidates with experience in neuro or pediatric surgery.

Job Description Single Specialty Group of Orthopaedic Surgeons seek to add a full-time Physician Assistant.  The new PA will work directly with a Spine Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon.  They are located in a very modern facility that includes their own ASC, MRI, PT and digital X-Ray.
