FLORIDA (Miami) Physician Assistant (Ortho) ""Total Joints" (WILL TRAIN!)

Orthopaedic Group seeks a full-time Physician Assistant. The position consists of two days in the OR and the balance in the Clinic. This PA will work directly with and support a Total Joint Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. This Doctor performs minimally invasive total knee replacements, as well as the latest techniques in hip replacements. Responsibilities include: patient evaluations and education, removing casts and pins, consultation, ordering and reviewing lab tests, writing scripts, rounds, injections and first assists. This full-time position requires on-call and weekends on a rotating basis. Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified. This is a position for a highly motivated, committed individual willing to invest hard work and dedication in order to achieve excellence. The group will train a new graduate! Candidates must have ties to the area and have a Florida license or have started the Florida licensing process. It would be a plus if the candidate is bilingual.

The new PA will be employed in a large health care institution and will have a very strong benefits package. The position is located in a desirable area of Miami. Compensation: Base salary range: $65k to $98k, plus up to 32 days of paid time off. Benefits include paid medical, 401k, vacation, CME etc.

The University of Wisconsin La Crosse – Gundersen Lutheran – Mayo Physician Assistant Program http://perth.uwlax.edu/pastudies is seeking a dynamic Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track) or Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor (non-tenure-track), based on credentials, to lead a multi-faceted, collaborative Physician Assistant faculty. This is a 9-month position in an established program that enjoys a history of small class sizes and 100% PANCE pass rates with scores consistently in the top 10% nationally. The Physician Assistant Masters Degree Program consists of 4 core faculty members with instruction delivered/supplemented by local and regional experts from the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center and The Mayo Foundation. The Physician Assistant program is part of the UW-L Department of Health Professions. All programs in the Department of Health Professions ( http://www.uwlax.edu/sah/health-professions/ ), College of Science and Allied Health (SAH) are fully accredited. 

The Department of Health Professions is located in a $27 million state-of-the-art Health Science Center (HSC) which also houses six associate health professional programs. The HSC was built by the La Crosse Medical Health Science Consortium, a collaborative entity of five La Crosse organizations: UW-L; Viterbo University; Western Wisconsin Technical College; Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center; and Franciscan Skemp Health Care – Mayo Health System.
