Job Description Orthopaedic Surgeon seeks a full-time Physician Assistant. This practice includes a strong percentage of total joint cases. The focus of this opportunity is clinic based with some surgical assist (if desired). New candidates must have completed an orthopaedic rotation! The new PA must be a quick learner, have excellent interpersonal skills, be a hard worker and have a really strong desire for orthopaedics. Responsibilities include: . Some first assist, if desired (knees, shoulders and some joint cases) . Initial evaluations . Joint aspiration and injections . Pre-op and post-op H&P's . Write scripts . Coordinate with Physical Therapist and ATC . Ordering tests and evaluate X-ray, CT scan and MRI . Casting and splinting . Run Orthopaedic clinic . May include some weekends and rounding The location is a quaint town that has a mix of victorian and newly constructed modern homes. They are headquarters to several fortune "500" companies.
