Seeking energetic PA interested in providing medical and surgical care to patients in inpatient and outpatient setting under supervision of Orthopaedic/Trauma and Reconstructive Surgeon.  Work in fast pace clinic environment, OR and hospital (613-licensed bed, Lead Level III Trauma Center).  Competitive salary and benefits package.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ability to perform medical exam with knowledge of patient care, patient history and clinic operations and procedures, assist in viewing and interpretation of x-rays and fluoroscopes.  Apply cast and OCL splints.  Perform dressing change and wound care.  Work together with nursing staff in scheduling operating room procedures.  Complete appropriate documentation of all evaluations, medical care and services rendered in the medical record.  Provide pre- and post- operative patient education to patient and their families.  Make appropriate referrals and communicate with referring or primary care physician regarding patient care and treatment.  Have knowledge of drugs and their indication, contra-indications, dosing, side effects and proper administration.  Under supervision of Physician, make appropriate adjustment and/or changes of medications.  Ability to supervise medical staff in the absence of Physician and communicate any changes on patient schedule or office procedures. 

Together with attending Physician, research online medical applications for programs or courses related to Orthopaedics, Trauma and Reconstructive surgery.  Review websites, register, confirm and advise of training dates.

Physician Assistant Degree
Certification
License or eligible for licensing as a PA in the State of Texas
Intermediate knowledge of and experience utilizing a personal computer
Intermediate word processing skills required

Job Description Specialty group of Orthopaedic Surgeons seeks a full-time Physician Assistant.  This position is all office based!  The new PA will provide post and pre-operative care, joint aspirations and injections, ordering and evaluating tests, reductions, removing casts and pins, consultation and patient evaluation and education, and writing prescriptions.  Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified/eligible, highly-motivated, hard-working, and able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.  This position is 40 hours per week and there is no call or weekends.  New graduates or soon-to-be graduates are welcome to apply!

Successful candidate should be NCCPA-certified.  The new PA must have excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and have a desire to be in Orthopaedics.  The group prefers candidates that have some ties to the area.

Eastern Iowa Urgent Care practice is seeking a PA to provide coverage in one of two configurations. You can either work 7 days on with 7 days off or we can mix it up to give you a couple of days off in between (depending on your lifestyle)    . You will be sharing coverage with one other provider. We need weekend days covered (Sat. and Sun.- 8 hours each, every other weekend) as well as weekday evenings covered (9 a.m.-9 p.m.). We can arrange a couple of days off to provide some relief for those who don't want to work 7 straight days. We offer a salary and bonus (guaranteed) of $100k for the experienced provider. Slightly less for someone green. Generous benefits provided and all the amenities a 200,000 population urban area has to offer. Sign-on/relocation package is also available.
