Job Description The new PA will assist in running an Occupational Medical and Workers Compensation Clinic.  The new PA will 1) handle on the job injuries (wound care, muscular skeletal problems, etc.)  2) perform employment physicals 3) drug screens 4) medical history and physical data on patients 5) determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedure 6) order lab and diagnostic procedure and determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan 7) liaise with corporate clients 8) instruct and advise patients regarding medications and treatment 9) refer to appropriate specialists 10) provide all appropriate documentation.  There will be one weekend a month of rounds.

Preferred candidate should have some experience in any of the following areas: Occupational Medicine Urgent Care, Primary Care, Emergency Room and Internal Medicine.  This group will train a new PA!  The PA needs to be an independent thinker, self-confident; works well in a fast-paced environment and has excellent interpersonal skills.  This position is from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Candidates must have Florida license or have submitted all paperwork!

The location is within 40 minutes to Orlando.  The area provides great quality of life, reasonable cost of living, easy access to the ocean and a solid educational system.

Job Description Orthopaedic Surgeon seeks a full-time Physician Assistant.  This practice includes a strong percentage of total joint cases and general orthopaedics.  The position is equally split between the OR and the Clinic.  New candidates must have completed an orthopaedic rotation!  The candidate must be a quick learner, have excellent interpersonal skills, be a hard worker and really have a strong desire for orthopaedics.  Responsibilities include:
. First assist (knees, shoulders and total joint cases)
. Initial evaluations 
. Joint aspiration and injections 
. Pre-op and post-op H&P's
. Reductions
. Write scripts 
. Coordinate with Physical Therapist and ATC
. Ordering tests and evaluate x-ray
. Casting and splinting
. Call schedule is 1/3 (call is with the Doctor)
. May include some weekends and rounding

Chester County Orthopaedic Associates, LTD has five busy orthopedic surgeons and one PA. Located in the suburban town of West Chester, PA.  We are seeking to fill a full time position Monday to Friday (approx 45 hours/week); light call. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: First Assistant; provides post operative care; H & P; consults; makes hospital patient visits (rounds) and ER coverage. Sees patients in a clinic setting, performing routine orthopedic assessments and treatments. Forms patient assessment and develops preliminary patient care plan.  Provides follow up care,  adjusts patient's care plan accordingly, writes new patient orders for medications, lab/x ray tests, etc., and documents all of the above in patient's medical record. Performs all activities in accordance with established policies and protocols. 

QUALIFICATIONS:   Completion of a physician assistant program approved by the AMA.Certification by NCCPA. Pennsylvania Licensed. Orthopaedic experience helpful. There are nine surgeons and five physician assistants in the Division of Orthopedics providing a team approach to inpatient and outpatient care. Qualified candidate will have responsibilities as first assistant in the OR, clinic and the inpatient unit. Call responsibility is three nights a month. There are no residents working in the Division of Orthopedics.
