 PA neededed for an Internal Medicine and Nephrology medical office located on Florida's picturesque West Coast of Florida in St. Petersburg. In concert with the Director of Urology this successful Physician Assistant, under physician responsibility and supervision, or Nurse Practitioner provides urological care to all age populations. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to allow the physicians to extend their knowledge in the sphere of decision making required to establish a diagnosis and to plan the appropriate therapy.  Assists in gathering the data necessary to implement the diagnostic and therapeutic plan of the physician. 

Reports directly to the Clinic Nurse Coordinator RN of the Urology Clinic and the supervising physician and/or surgeon for all patient-care-related functions.  Reports directly to the Director of Physician Extender Services for all non-patient administrative responsibilities.

At this time the position is primarily based at Danville. Travel to outreach clinic required.

Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following: performs H&P’s, provides pre- and post-procedural care, CMG’s, urodynamics, first or second assist in surgery, which may occur after scheduled hours, participation in rounds and the call schedule, accurate and complete charting in both the hard copy and electronic medical record, computer literacy, demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, instill confidence and facilitate communication with patients.

The successful Physician Assistant candidate will require completion of a CAAHEP-approved physician assistant program, NCCPA certification or eligibility through Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine licensure.

The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners and must be eligible for or certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

To perform, under the responsibility and supervision of the surgeon, diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to allow the physician to extend his/her services through the more effective use of his/her knowledge in the sphere of decision making required to establish a diagnosis and to plan therapy. Assists in gathering the data necessary in implementing the therapeutic plan of the surgeon. A major role will be as patient advocate in the medical care system, serving as confidant, advisor and liaison between patients and physicians. 
Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following: 1st or 2nd assist for neurosurgeons in the pre and post operative care of patients, participation in the call schedule, computer literacy, H&P’s, execute and relay medical regimens as directed by the supervising physician and/or as described in the work agreement between the physician assistant and the supervising physician, confirm operating schedule and summarize appropriate data prior to surgery. 
Reports directly to the surgeon for all clinical related responsibilities. Reports directly to the Chief Physician Assistant, Neurosurgery or in absence, Operations Manager, Neuroscience for all non-clinical administrative responsibilities. 
The successful Physician Assistant candidate will require completion of a CAAHEP-approved physician assistant program, NCCPA certification or eligibility through Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine licensure.

OREGON (Corvallis) SURGICAL Physician Assistant (WILL TRAIN!)

Job Description This position involves surgical assisting for all surgical specialties (general and vascular surgery, oncology, gastroenterology, trauma etc.).  In addition to surgical assisting, the PA will have the responsibility for pre and post-operative H&P's, rounds and patient evaluation and education.  There are some weekend rounding and call!  Successful candidate is self-motivated, hard worker, confident and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.  The group will train an entry level PA, if they have completed surgical rotations.
