Job Description Multi-Specialty Group seeks to add a Physician Assistant for its' busy gastroenterology practice.  This is a hospital based opportunity joining two fulltime PA's. 

Successful candidate will have excellent communication skills w/patients, providers, doctors and staff.  The new PA will conduct health needs assessments, histories and physicals, patient education and follow up.  The group would train a new graduate with prior medical experience (i.e. nursing, medic or tech.).  The PA will order diagnostic and interpret test results.  The new candidate must have a Florida License or is well into the process.  The work week is 35 to 40 hours with occasional weekends.  Also, the group desires the candidate to have family ties in Florida.

The Adult Oncology/Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Program Physician Assistant is responsible for assisting the Program attending physicians in the medical management of oncology and HSCT patients and patients admitted for elective chemotherapy. 

The PA has expert knowledge of hematology oncology including hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Incorporating knowledge of general internal medicine and medical complications unique to hematology oncology and transplantation medicine will be emphasized. In addition, the PA works closely with the physician and nursing staff in developing and coordinating a plan of care designed to meet the physical, psychological and social needs of patients and their families. Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are required. The Mission, Vision and Core Values of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute are incorporated into all areas of practice. 

Graduate of AAPA/NCCPA accredited Physician Assistant Studies Program. Holds NCCPA Board certification. Licensure as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience.
