AIDS Resources of Rural Texas (ARRT) is a nonprofit organization that
has provided services to individuals with HIV/AIDS since 1993. We
have clinics and offices in Weatherford and Abilene, where we provide comprehensive
HIV medical care and social services to HIV+ individuals in a 26-county
area. We are seeking an NP to take charge of our Weatherford clinic.
Duties include providing comprehensive HIV care for approximately 100 HIV+
patients from Weatherford and the surrounding areas, and ensuring compliance
with federal and state requirements for treatment and documentation of
treatment. The NP works under the medical supervision of a physician
consultant who visits the clinic two times per month. Training in
HIV care is available, if needed, and paid malpractice insurance is provided.
This position is ideal for an NP who is a “team player”, but who can
work independently and supervise an RN and front-desk staff person.
