of the growing School of Nursing and Allied Health. The School offers
the ASN, BSN, RN to MSN, and MSN with nurse practitioner and nursing education
concentrations It also offers a B.S. in radiologic science, an A.S. in
allied health, and an A.S. in respiratory care, in partnership with regional
hospitals.
Recently reorganized to promote its continued growth, the School
is recognized as a leader in collaboration and distance education and has
one of the largest nursing and allied health enrollments in the State System
of Higher Education. Courses are offered at the Venango Campus, home
site for the School, the Clarion Campus, at a site in Pittsburgh, and at
other locations throughout Western Pennsylvania using a variety of live
instruction and distance education modalities.
The Director provides broad leadership for the School, including the
ongoing strategic planning process and the development of new programs
to meet community, regional, state-wide, and national needs.
An earned doctorate is required, ABD with clear plans to finish degree
considered, preferably in nursing, education, public health, or a related
field, in addition to a masters in nursing. A minimum of five years
of relevant experience, including teaching in undergraduate and/or graduate
nursing programs, is required; higher education administrative experience
is preferred.
