GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
Must be a citizen of the United States of America.
Must be able to pass a national agency background check.
Be licensed as a Registered Nurse in one state in the United States.
Be a graduate of an approved Nurse Anesthesia training program and
hold current certification from an approved CRNA certifying body.
Hold current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Have
at least 12 months within the last 24 months experience in the delivery
and monitoring of all types of anesthesia utilized in the delivery of obstetrical
anesthesia.
Have at least 12 months experience in the past 24 months providing
epidural analgesia.
The quality of CRNA practice shall meet or exceed reasonable standards
of professional practice for the health care concerned as determined by
the same authority that governs military medical professionals in the same
discipline.
Perform the full duties of a Nurse Anesthetist, including but not limited
to:
Management of patient anesthesia, including preoperative evaluations
and preparations, monitoring patient anesthesia care and reactions, manage
fluid therapy, and perform post-operative evaluations.
Assist training of other staff personnel as needed.
Complete and validate forms and reports as necessary.
Attend and participate in staff conferences and meetings as required.
Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment, check supplies for
expiration and reordering, review and update departmental operating instructions,
personnel orientation.
