Interventional Pain Management
Busy
Interventional Pain Management practice is seeking a permanent full
time Experienced Physician Assistant to work directly with the medical
director. The multi-location office practice is outpatient and doctors
specialize in interventional pain management.
Job Requirements Include:
* 2-5 years experience in Pain Management, Orthopedics or General preferred.
Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
•Perform history and physical exam
• Preparation and dictation of pain management plan for each patient based on documented medical necessity
•Orders
appropriate imaging and diagnostic studies (MRI v. CT, EMG, lab work,
EKG, X-rays, etc.), as well as knowing their indications and
contraindications.
•Interprets necessary pre-operative testing
results, clearances, reports, referral responses, labs, etc. and
develop appropriate plan of care/manage the results according to
current protocols.
•Must have basic knowledge of X-rays and imaging
pertaining to the lumbar and cervical spine. Must be able to
differentiate between T1 and T2 images, axial v. sagittal, various
X-ray types and manipulate the imaging system accordingly.
• Continuous development of knowledge based on the most up to date methods of pain solutions.
•Manages and fully understands the worker’s compensation patient process.
* Performs therapeutic procedures by administering injections
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
*
Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional
requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating
future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising
management on needed actions.
Qualifications- Education, Experience, and Skills:
Required:
•Graduated an accredited Physician Assistant program
Associated Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
•Demonstrates knowledge and compliance of HIPAA regulations
•Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving skills
•Must have excellent time management skills
•Must have excellent computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office, diagnostic imaging systems and EMR
•Must have excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
•Must
possess extensive knowledge of orthopedic, neurological and spinal
anatomy and physiology and understand/perform the appropriate exam
techniques for evaluation.
•Must have knowledge of pre-operative contraindicated medications and supplements.
•Must
have general pharmaceutical knowledge of common medications ordered for
pre- and post-operative patient management: antibiotic therapy, pain
management, post-op nausea, etc.
License/Certification:
•Must possess current state license where practicing and be nationally certified
The
successful candidate will provide the plan of care along with
fellowship trained and board certified interventional pain management
physicians.

Western Montana – Orthopedic Surgery
We
are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for an
Orthopedic Surgery practice in western Montana. Outstanding Orthopedic
Surgeon with growing practice. Will consider experienced providers
only. No new graduates. Practice does General Orthopedics and sports
medicine. Duties will be 3.5 days in the clinic and 1.5 days in
Surgery. Schedule will be M-F, 8:30a – 5:30p. No weekends, moderate
call. Salary will be $100-130k+ with a comprehensive benefit package
including 4+ weeks’ vacation, malpractice, health insurance, retirement
and 1 wk paid CME. Relocation assistance. This location is about as
close perfection as you can get. Classic Montana. It has some of the
most beautiful scenery in the country and a lifestyle envied. Lewis and
Clark traveled much of this state in frontier days, simply awed by what
they found. Forests, mountains, and rivers that stretch forever,

general surgery and Bariatrics practice seeking PA to assist on
surgical procedures in the OR. Other duties include, but not
limited
to, patient hospital rounding, evaluating patients in the office pre-op
and post-op. Candidate must support and participate in team
approach
to the delivery of patient care within the practice and in accordance
with the medical staff of the affiliated hospitals.
Candidate must be
a graduate of an accredited PA program and must have current IL PA
licensure and credentials.
One Saturday per month may be required. Salary highly competitive,
paid-time-off, health/dental/vision benefits, paid CME also included. Surgical experience preferred.
