Western Illinois – Walk-in Clinic

We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner for a Walk-in Clinic in western Illinois. Will consider an experienced provider only. Schedule will be M-F, 8a – 5p. No weekends, no call. Other providers on site. May have some shift flexibility but not decided yet (4 10's). Anticipated patient volume will be 20 – 25 ppd. with 50% walk-ins and 50% scheduled patients. Salary will be $75-95k (with incentives) plus a comprehensive benefit package including 4 wks vacation, malpractice, health insurance, retirement and one wk paid CME. Relocation assistance and separate sign-on bonus. Additionally: This position offers guaranteed Federal Loan Repayment Assistance with a high HPSA score (requires 2 year commitment). The cash value of this benefit is $60k. These are non-taxable dollars so the real value (in taxable dollars and interest saved) is $80k+. In essence you are working for 2 years and getting paid for 3!!! This is an extremely desirable area with easy access to the big city. We are seeking a part-time or full time certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for one of our Clinics located at Irving, TX (Dallas Metroplex). The clinic operates Monday-Friday. No  weekends.

The nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant uses clinical judgments in conducting health assessments making differential diagnosis, and prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments. Interested candidate will work with physician and other NPs in a clinic setting.

Some responsibilities will include:

You will perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive patient care including taking patient histories and performing exams; updating medical charts; ordering tests; and reviewing results for differentiating between normal and abnormal findings.  The candidate we seek will have a bachelor's degree, current NYS PA license and at least 2 years of Neurosurgery and/or Critical Care experience. National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Board Certification, along with ALS, PALS, NRP Provider and NALS certifications are required. Previous experience as a physician assistant or physician assistant fellowship experience in neurosurgery is preferred.

 The Neurosurgery Service is in need of 24-hour coverage, ideal candidates will work rotating day and night 12-hr shifts (6am-6pm/6pm-6am), with occasional weekend rotations, although candidates with Neurosurgery experience with availability that differs from this are still welcome to apply, as there is some amount of flexibility regarding the schedule. First-assist and OR duties are entailed for Neurosurgery.

PA's with at least 2 years of full time experience are needed to work with active duty military members at the San Antonio Military Medical Center, in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. PA's should have experience conducting in-depth histories and performing physical exams for all age groups. Candidates should also be licensed in any US state and have a current BLS and ACLS card.

PA's will be assigned to work under the Department of Anesthesia, and will work closely with patients undergoing Anesthesia services and procedures, including obtaining histories and physicals, ensuring proper preoperative testing is complete, obtaining consents, and consulting with Anesthesia providers.

Candidates must be available to work shifts any day or time, but most work hours will be Monday through Friday. Providers will work an average of 45 hours per week.
