Working for the Urgent Care Service within the Department of Medicine, you will be responsible for the evaluation and management of Memorial hospital patients, employees and visitors. You will interview and examine patients, order radiologic and laboratory examinations to come up with a presumed diagnosis and be capable of evaluating the significance of all tests ordered. Additional responsibilities will include patient follow-up, assisting with the flow of patients through the Urgent Care Center, in-person and telephone triage as well as communicating with Memorial Hospital attending and resident house staff.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited PA Program that is NCCPA board certified, have a registered NYS  license, DEA certificate and must possess privileges to prescribe medications, and determine whether discharge or hospital admission is required. Must be certified in Advanced and Basic Cardiac Life Support. PALS and ATLS certification is desirable but not mandatory. The ideal candidate is a team player with at least 2 years of experience in  Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care.

We are seeking a Neurosurgical Physician Assistant interested in joining a well respected Neurosurgeon and Physician Assistant in South Dakota. Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) has a full-time faculty position open in the Physician Assistant Program.  This program is 27 months in length and currently enrolls 50 students per year.  We anticipate increasing enrollment to 80 students per class by January 2013.
