Indiana State University (ISU) invites applicants for a program director for our new physician assistant (PA) program. The position is a new tenure-track assistant/associate professor of PA studies beginning March 1. ISU is not yet accredited. It is scheduled for an ARC-PA site visit this June and expects to matriculate its charter class in January 2011. We are a 27-month master's program with a class size of 30 students annually. The program director will direct and coordinate an ARC-PA accredited program; teach PA classes; advise students; participate in clinical practice; and engage in department, professional activities, community service, and college, university, and professional service. Summer teaching is possible and duties of the program director are required in the summer.

Qualifications for each rank are graduation from an accredited PA program, current NCCPA certification, eligibility for licensure in Indiana, five years' clinical experience as a practicing PA, and experience in PA education.
