Roger Williams Medical Center is seeking a full time Surgical Physician Assistant that will provide surgical care to patients throughout the Hospital. As an integral part of the Surgical Services team, the Surgical PA provides continuity of care for the surgical patients admitted to the ICU. In addition to assisting in the coordination of care for the ICU surgical patients, the Surgical PA serves as the link to the ICU Medical and Surgical Directors and the Attending Surgeon or coverage.

The Surgical PA will provide support for the Attending Surgeons on staff; respond to emergency situations requiring surgical expertise on all hospital patients and will perform emergency surgical admissions.

To qualify for this position, you must be a graduate of an AMA-recognized physician assistant training program that is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant and must have a State Physician Assistant License.

ACLS certification and current DEA Registration is required.
Candidate should have at least 3 to 5 years experience.
New Graduates with previous health care experience will be considered.

The Provider would work with a diverse group of patients including general neurology, head injuries, stroke, MS, and Parkinson’s disease. The practice operates an active clinical research program, provides services to include EEG, EMG, Botox, DBS and VNS programming along with general neurology exams.
