Program Director
Master of Physician Assistant Studies Program

The School of Allied Health Professions at LSU Health Sciences Center – New Orleans is seeking a full-time Program Director to oversee all aspects of the graduate program in Physician Assistant Studies. The Program Director will work with Dean to oversee all personnel actions to include recruitment, hiring, evaluating and supervision of program faculty and staff. The Program Director reports to the Dean of the School of Allied Health Professions.

The candidate should have:
·    Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program or related discipline, a doctoral degree is desired
·    Prior experience in the ARC-PA accreditation process and as such must be knowledgeable about and responsible for the accreditation process
·    Three years of prior experience teaching in a physician assistant program
·    Have experience with implementing and monitoring student learning assessment plans
·    Demonstrated abilities in teaching, research and scholarship, student advisement, committee service, management and administration
·     Licensed or eligible to be licensed in Louisiana as a Physician Assistant
·     NCCPA certification

Well-established Orthopaedic Group seeks a full-time Physician Assistant.  The new PA will be part of a fast moving team working directly with a Total Joints Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon.  Cases include total joints (knees and hips) and general.  This Doctor utilizes the latest techniques and the computerized navigational system.  This position has no call and will include both surgical first assist (OR) and the Clinic.  The group will train a new PA that has a strong interest in orthopaedics and has a positive attitude!   The new PA must have a Texas license or be very close to receiving one (within 45 days).  Candidates must have done an orthopaedic rotation and be local.
