Group seeks to add two full-time Physician Assistants or Nurse
Practitioners. The first position will be 9 to 5 with no call. This
will be a clinic based opportunity. The second position will be both
Clinic and OR. The group performs major procedures such as: coronary
artery bypass grafting, off-pump coronary artery bypass, valve repair
and replacement and thoracic surgery.
The first position (clinic based) will not

and OR) include the following: daily rounds in ICU and floor patients,
first assist for open heart procedures (includes vein harvesting),
procedures (central lines, chest tubes etc.), patient evaluation and
consultation, H&P’s, perform various diagnostic and

Physician Assistant. This practice includes a strong percentage of
sports cases. The new PA will work directly with a Sports Fellowship
trained Doctor that handles extensive volume of complex knees and
shoulder cases. They currently work with semi-pro, college and high
school sports teams. The position is a split between the OR and the
Clinic. The new candidates must have completed an orthopaedic rotation!
The candidate must be a quick learner, have excellent interpersonal
skills, be a hard worker and really have a strong desire for
orthopaedics. The position has no call requirements or weekends unless
the PA desires some event coverage.
Responsibilities include:
• First assist, if desired (knees, shoulders and some fracture
cases)
• Initial evaluations
• Joint aspiration and injections
• Pre-op and post-op H&P’s
• Team PA for sporting events
• Write scripts
• Coordinate with Physical Therapist and ATC
